Day 294
Well spending 10 minutes trying to figure out how to work this darn computer here at the hotel really shouldn't count!!! As you may notice, I try very hard to keep all the posts positive.... to an extent anyway!
Day 1 of the Conference was more like a meet and greet. Here a day early and watching people slowly trickle in was interesting. Hotel is not as nice as last year however it is still a great time . Today is the pre conference day and events that some peoople will take advantage of prior to kick off tomorrow.
So last night, I spent an interesting hour in the pool area. We were sitting in the jacuzzi (that doesn't really work that well) and meeting new people that were there with us.
One of the Women , very unassuming, is in a transition of a new business. Without getting into all that she does, she helps Women from countries where Women aren't really given any rights, to see that they are worth something. She opens their eyes to possibilites and counsels them on transitioning their own lives. Witha a trave and nursing background, she is looking to find a way to take this on the road, even as a non profit status, and heal others...... needless to say it was an interesting time in the jacuzzi....

Day 293
Today I get to see how I did with our "Change" challenge. I will still continue it when I return from this conference, however, I stated at the very beginning that I would be using this for the trip. (at least for some $ in my pocket)

These are the envelopes..... let's see how I did............
A lot of the envelopes had 3.00 in them....and 2 even had 6.00 in them...and one with a 2.00 bill
I spent 10 minutes opening them up
and the total is .............................82.00
Not too shabby !
I will continue upon my return.... now keep checking, posting is going to be a little difficult for the next few weeks but I'll get in here when I can............

Sunday, Our Day of Change....

SUNDAY OUR DAY OF CHANGE.............
Tomorrow I will be re capping our day of change and what we are doing. As I previously stated , back in the beginning, I will be breaking into my DAY OF CHANGE tomorrow for my trip !

Day 291 Saturday.....
Ok...so as we approach day 300 I'm thinking about our move forward in the next challenges....
this is what I'm planning..... Once we hit Day 365 we will star a short term challenge to take us to Jan 1st.... If my calculations are correct, we will hit Day 365 on Oct. 16th. That gives us the rest of Oct., Nov. and most of Dec. ( take the day off Christmas day and New Year's Day --- LOL) to do our short term challenge..... Let's just give you a little clue ....... R.A.K......
On Jan. 2nd, we start again with a brand new year and a brand new challenge...... Keep "shoes" in mind for the year coming.....
So that's what I did on Sat. is think about all of this.... Sat evening, I was honored to be a part of the Miss Puerto Rico Atlantic County VIP parade event. at the beautiful Revel Casino in Atlantic City....
We , at 4 A STAR, are so proud of Miss India and Miss Deliana as they represent Atlantic County in their respective titles....
You are both super stars !!!!

Days 288, 289, 290
Ok so here we go.... the week going by like a shot...... going to conference with eWomen Network next week and it's been crazy crazy.... That said, we have broken 7,000 page views....
Monday I will be in here working on our day of Change with all of you and re capping to this point.
It's been a whirlwind and I hope you have found different and fun things to do that maybe you haven't done in awhile or that you have never done !
These past few days I got to begin starting out network marketing company. That is something I have always wanted to do. From ordering the kit bags to putting together the marketing plan, It's been wonderfully crazy. Can't wait to share all of that with you. It's a big undertaking but something I've always thought about.
Take your thoughts and make them a reality.....
Sat. we will get to something more interesting.... LOL

Day 286 and 287
Mon. / Tues. :
So Monday I took the opportunity to sleep in !!!! That alone is something I don't do very often...hahahaha
I woke up with a bit of a headache but managed to get through the day. Monday is usually my office day . That said, I took the better part of the day to rest my head and my body from the crazy weekend. ( and the week is starting off with a bang..... ) What I did that I haven't done in awhile was watch the Titanic.... Mostly all of it....The one with Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio..... amazing movie ! Like seeing it for the first time even though I knew what was coming....
Today, I had the opportunity to visit with "The Brain". This is an 13 year old boy, Matt "The Brain", who is a young graffiti artist. He does his work on many canvases. One of them being skateboards. What makes this little boy so special is that his Dad helped him open up a store where he creates his boards.... when he sells a board, he donates a board..... by that I mean to orphanages in Brazil ! This is a fascinating story.... I am holding off from pictures and more elaboration on it because they will be one of the first subjects in our new entertainment publication to be launched in October. In the meantime, you can see them and hear more of the story on our casual chat at www.4astar.com in September. They will be our featured guest.
What a great experience finding out about them and visiting the store. Thank you Andrew P. for that AWESOME introduction !

Day 283 ,284 and 285
Somewhere in these past few days was Sunday, our day of change..... I will be posting about all that very soon..... and probably recapping the year as we approach 300 days of this blog challenge.... I'm still challenging you every day to do something you don't normally do, even if it's just for 5 minutes.... ( or something you have always wanted to try or have never done before.... )
I attended a car show . ( heading to a bigger one later today).... Just a peek at that.... also watched 2 cool videos and spent some time doing both of these things.... check out the video for the beautiful and talented Jade Starling and learn about the kickstarter program..... I have recently become friends with Jade and I wish her all the best with her new single INSOMNIAK !
