Hey hey hey...
It is so great to be back at ya ! Going through a lot of challenges right now yet I am here. Let's get this Summer started.
What a great way to bring in the Summer by adopting a furry friend from Kimmy's safe haven rescue.
I just can't believe the amazing work Kimmy is doing and she is tucked away in a "safe haven" in Egg Harbor City N.J. I know I have viewers from all over the World yet if you are in New Jersey, think about saving one of these beautiful creatures ! Let's start with a bit about the safe haven....
Kimmy has been running this safe haven rescue for about 12 years now. She has grown the facility to include pigs, goats, birds, cats, dogs and more. Kimmy takes in unwanted and abandoned animals. I am going to share just a couple of stories here yet Kimmy has a story on every single pet/ animal she rescues. Some have just lost their owners/humans....some have come in from some dire situations....
I love the fact that Kimmy has a huge open area on her land where you can sit and have your lunch while your furry family can run around in this open area. It's a great place to visit as you will see by the photos. You will absolutely fall in love with these animals!
Let's talk about the Corgi that came to her. Come to find out that the Corgi was pregnant. She didn't have good prenatal care. She had a litter of 8 puppies yet six of them were still born. You can't believe the beauties of the 2 that survived. When we went to interview Kimmy, the 4 week old puppies opened their eyes for the first time. Then we took our little schnauzer to see the puppies. She just loved sniffing them... LOL
Then, the story that chokes me up every time, there's Dolly.... Dolly came from another rescue facility that had a fire. Dolly went in and out, in and out, in and out to make sure all the animals got out. She wound up with 3rd degree burns on the whole one side of her body yet through the grace and care at Kimmy's safe haven, dolly is fine and looking for her forever home. She is so sweet !
The stories go on and on. They say it takes a village and I know Kimmy loves and appreciates all who cross her path, including Adrienne,Trisha, and Alice to name a few. Kimmy also has a great relationship with a training company called KRUSH K-9....
Find them on Facebook, they also have a Dog training blog and a beautiful website.
