Flying High in AC for 17 years

Hello all,

Well the Summer travel drama and getting the office space ready has been the craziest experience... The time has flown by . As many of you know, I travel much in the Summer. Mostly business yet some personal time away too. We just had the Grand Opening of
                                           REYES AND SHINE  OFFICE SPACE
Home of Mr. Panting Productions and 4 A STAR. We will blog about this next week. In the meantime, find us on Face Book at Reyes and Shine Office Spaces....

So I have some catching up to do.... let's get back to last week and the fabulous Atlantic City Air Show. This is the 17th year of the Airshow and it still attracts people from all over. The weather was beautiful and the show was just amazing.

As always, the show welcomes the armed forces and all the skilled pilots and crews that make this event so special.

Always a fun time at the air show... people do watch parties , club parties and events around this event.  It is always great to see our media buddies too, like Lisa Diane Hall of LD TV, Beverly Beveridge from the Greater Atlantic City PR Council and Karen Martin who , along with  CRDA , puts it all together.... Let's talk a little with the CRDA President.... Larry....

I also had the pleasure of meeting some new people... Christina and Tommy radio hosts.....
Metal Forces Radio...what a great story....

If you haven't done so yet, make sure you check out the Atlantic City Airshow every Summer on the Beach in Atlantic City.... and enjoy all the City has to offer !

As always, contact me at www.4astar.com for any info....

Enjoy !

I'm back.... Let's talk a legend in his time.....

HELLO FRIENDS AND FANS...

Wow !  All I can say is since my husband's accident it's been quite stressful and I took a little break. Getting this new office space ready has also added to the stress yet we are on a mission !  Marco and I are working hard to make this space fun and cool for everyone ! Tomorrow, Monday, from 10 - 12 Noon, we will be serving coffee and cookies to any active Military or Veteran in the area.... If you are in the Hammonton area of NJ stop by at 240 S. White Horse Pike Unit AA-3 for a free cup of coffee and to see the space before it opens.... Hubby is dong great ! In the meantime,  I'M BACK !  ....and we have several cool stories to share to catch up...

I am friendly with the man's former manager and he told me that this show was amazing. Boy, was he right. Just a cool brand from a man in the industry for a long time. He has found a way to incorporate a fresh young experience to his show and it's just very cool to watch. Now that  American Idol is over for the Season, we can probably expect to see more of the INCREDIBLE....

LIONEL RICHIE....

Let's begin with the beautiful venue....the brand new Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City NJ
What a great space. The Hard Rock brand is certainly making a "splash" here at the shore. From the Gorgeous Renovations of the old Taj Mahal to Elvis' Rolls Royce in the lobby to the eatery area to the fabulous Mark Etess Arena, where Mark's Son came to be a part of the Grand Opening.  Lionel was in this arena performing.  Would have loved a personal interview yet he had to get back to Idol among other things at the time. I did get to be at the show as PRESS so here we go !

Lionel was engaging, funny and oh so talented . I had my husband with me at the show as it was his Birthday and I took him on my Press pass instead of an assistant. It was the first event he attended since the accident. He was actually singing to many of Lionel's songs. I found that amazing...
....and fun ! Of course, I was singing to all of them ! Hahaha

Ok, Loved the sequined jacket that said, "All Night Long" on the back. Hard to get a good shot of it. It was way cool !

So bringing in footage of a younger generation dancing on a screen behind him was just amazing....

Seeing the incredible Lionel Richie at an Incredible Venue in Atlantic City was just an amazing experience. .... As I was told....

Thank you Lionel for continuing to bring your "A" game. Looking forward to seeing you again....

Now go sing something ! LOL  and enjoy !

Loved the older Lionel Faces in the crowd..... so cool ! (Above)

Why doesn't New Jersey have a State Song?

Hello Wednesday ...( well, still a little under weather and fell asleep so it's still a Wednesday post... LOL)..........and a whole New Year ! Happy New Year to all of you . I ended 2018 and began 2019 in Gratitude.  Only a handful of you already know yet my husband was in a very bad car accident last month...then we both got sick on top of it . Still not 100 percent better yet moving along today ! So I am grateful that he survived the end of 2018, and is here to begin 2019.....
That said, we have many challenges right now yet I have him in one piece and almost as normal as before , whatever that is.... LOLOL

So I start this year's posts with the MUSIC.  Something that connects us all.... so growing up, we regarded "Born to Run" by Bruce Springsteen as the Jersey State Song. Many years ago there was this really cool song put out by the Phil Bernardi band called "I like Jersey Best". Great, cute song, did not hear anything about IT being thought of as our State song....

                                                Wow...found this....AWESOME ! Take a listen......

....then a few years back, there was talk about "Who says you can't go home" by Jon Bonjovi being in the running to be our State Song. I heard that it lost..... so I was under the impression that "Born to Run" was still our State song. So the other night , while sick in bed, something about a State song came up on Jeopardy....hubby and I got into a discussion about this and we looked it up.

Bon Jovi and Jennifer Nettles..... Love the vid too !

"Born to Run" was never declared as an official State Song.... WHAAAAAAT???????

While most other State's have a song to represent, New Jersey sit's on the list with NONE next to it !

What the heck????

Bruce and "Born to Run"

So do you think we should send something to our legislature to officially adopt a State Song?

I just think it would be nice to have one and "Born to Run" fits the bill. ( I also love "Who says you can't go home")

Anyway, just a musical thought as we connect to great things in 2019.  Again, I thank you all for taking us close to 65,000 viewers now..... See you as we move to Wednesday posts for this year... at least for now. I'll be checking that out....

Enjoy !

Welcome to 2019 !!!

A little laughter, A little change with Greg Martiello part 2

Part 2 with Greg Martiello, the man of many voices....

What a few weeks I've had. I can't wait to get to part 2 of this post yet first let me say that A little laughter and a little change go a long way.....

I'm going to change my posts to Wednesday's and see how that goes. It's been a long time for a change and considering it's HUMP DAY of the week and I'm usually home in my office that day, I thought a little change would be good.

This past week, my husband was in a terrible car accident. I believe my 2018 Miracle was my husband coming out of this with only minor injuries. The car was totally destroyed and crunched. They had to cut my husband out of the roof to get him out. He was in the hospital all last week and now I'm playing double car duty until we can get another car. Been a little out of the loop lately... That said, I'm so thankful, grateful and happy..... On to a little Laughter....

When Greg Martiello walks on stage, you know you are in for a treat. When he is doing his voices, a little laughter is in order and when he is singing in his special way, he lights up the stage....

At the US Stage Door Canteen we got to see the best of them....Holly Faris as Phyllis Diller and Marilyn Monroe.... and the beautiful voices of  Donnah Lisa Campbell and  Danielle Spence.

Not sure who took these great photos.... mine were light obstructed for the most part. Grabbed these from the FB page of the amazing Holly Faris !

Of course everyone went crazy when John Monforto showed up as "Elvis"
He always brings the house down !

Other great performances included Kenny Jeremiah, Greg Armstrong , Michael Jones. James Lee and more. All performances were AMAZING.... so mark your calendars for the next US Canteen Special Event.

So many people made this event great.... from on stage to off stage.... front to back,  Left to Right.... everyone was so awesome.....Thank you all for your hard work . You made us all feel special....

I know thsre were more of you involved than I could get photos of....know you were all fabulous and I know who to reach out to when needed. Thank you all !
